We've long suspected that there is a great bicycle tour waiting to be ridden in the spectacularly beautiful bluffs region where Northeast Iowa, Southeast Minnesota, and Western Wisconsin come together. We were right! Get ready for the Second Annual Midwest Scenic Tri-State Ride, June 23-27, 2008!
Hospitality, a challenging route, warm June temperatures, and best of all, breathtaking scenery, this ride has it all and you're invited!
A five-day ride, we begin Monday, June 23, in Lansing Iowa, overnighting in Coon Valley, Wis., Lanesboro, Minn. (two nights!), and Decorah, Iowa, before returning to Lansing on June 27. Complete information about the route, fees, amenities, and our sponsors available on this Web site. Please use the menu at left to find out all the details!
Pedal through the beautiful countryside of Iowa, Wisconsin and Minnesota!
As you arrive in Lansing, Iowa, you'll see the mighty Mississippi River with bald eagles in flight, duck and geese at the river's edge, and maybe a deer or two in the backwoods.

Then it's into the Wisconsin dairyland with black and whited Holstein cows on nearly every farm, a few hills, and even more beautiful valleys await you as you pedal into Coon Valley, Wis. and our first overnight town.
You'll cross the Mississippi again at La Crosse and enter Southeastern Minnesota Bluff Country. There won't be much climbing this time as you head west on the beautiful Root River State Trail. We'll overnight two nights in Lanesboro, Minn. where there's much to do in this one-of-a-kind town. We're deep in Amish country, so keep an eye out for the horse and buggies.
Then we head south back into Iowa and the corn belt as we head for Decorah and its rich Norwegian heritage. You'll finish back in Lansing with five days of wonderful memories behind you.
Bicycle repair and mechanical support will be provided by Wheel and Sprocket of Milwaukee, Wis.
Sag wagon support will be provided by Overland Touring Company, Lanesboro, Minn.
